Philosophy

Why concept-first learning

Children don't remember what they memorize. They remember what they understand.

The usual way

Name it. Repeat it. Forget it.

"This is a circle. Can you color it?"

The child can label it, for about three days.

The Foundation way

Understand it. Keep it for life.

"Look at the wheels on this car. Why are they round? What if they were square?"

Now the child sees circles everywhere, and knows why.

This is when young brains wire for understanding. "Why" sticks. Isolated facts fade.

Concepts travel

Understand "round" once and you spot it everywhere: wheels, plates, balls, the sun.

Structure

What happens at each stage

2.5 - 3 years

Pre-Nursery

First steps into a structured, caring environment. Play-based exploration, language development, and building comfort with a space outside home.

3 - 4 years

Nursery

Pre-literacy and pre-numeracy through activity. Letter recognition, number sense, rhymes, and hands-on learning that children actually remember.

4 - 5 years

LKG

Language fluency in English and Hindi begins. Early writing, reading readiness, drawing, and basic science exploration.

5 - 6 years

UKG

School-readiness. Structured writing, reading, arithmetic, and the confidence to ask questions: the habit that matters most in Class 1 and beyond.

Why concept-first learning in preschool?
Ages 2-6 is when brains wire for understanding. Children who learn "why" before "what" develop stronger reasoning and memory. They don't just repeat, they think. A child who understands that circles roll learns more than one who just names the shape.
What does "small batches" really mean?
Our maximum is 12 children per class. This means Priya or staff can see every child's struggle, ask them questions, and adjust teaching immediately. In batches of 25+, most children sit invisibly.
Is there really no admission fee?
Yes. No one-time admission fee. We believe the right start to education shouldn't have an extra cost barrier. The fee you pay funds teaching quality, not a one-time registration.
Does my child need to know letters or numbers before joining?
No. Pre-Nursery and Nursery are about play, language, comfort, and social confidence. LKG starts letter and number readiness. UKG focuses on school readiness: structured writing, reading, basic arithmetic. This progression respects how children's brains develop.
Will my child be safe and comfortable?
The Foundation operates from a dedicated building at 1216, B-Block, not a home or shared space. Small groups mean Priya and staff know every child by name from day one. Safety, warmth, and knowing each child personally is how we build confidence.
What about the transition to Class 1?
UKG is designed explicitly for Class 1 readiness: structured writing, reading fluency, number sense, and the habit of raising their hand to ask questions. Children leave UKG confident, not rushed or underprepared.
